Emergency Watering Crew
A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to water the gardens the past few weeks! With the drought expected to continue for another two weeks, we’re getting a bit more organized. It's wonderful seeing so many "dockers" watering on their own. Keep going, however doing it together is much more fun! All are welcome.
Steve, our Head Gardener, has shared his wisdom to help us make the biggest impact: My summary
Guidelines:
Best Time: Evening watering is most effective.
Where to Focus: Water the soil directly at the roots.
What Needs Special Attention: Our one-year-old Christmas trees!
Trees: Young Trees under about 20 ft will need lots of water.
What to Skip: Please do not waste water on the grass, evergreen shrubs, or well-established trees.
Safety First: Take care when stepping over obstacles.
Join the Emergency Watering Crew!
We’re hosting weekly sessions from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM: Starting Aug 10th
Monday: Meet by the Clubhouse
Tuesday: Meet at the bottom of the Romulus Lift
Wednesday: Meet by the large mirrored sphere in Otho
Please bring a watering can if you have one (we’ll have a few spares on hand). Hope to see you there! Updates on our WhatsApp group or contact Ade 07981 881344.
